Can a damaged beam be replaced without removing the whole floor?
Many beams can be accessed and replaced from a basement or crawl space using controlled temporary support. Access, utilities, finishes, bearing, and the approved design determine the final sequence.
Why are temporary posts not a permanent repair?
A permanent support system needs defined bearing, approved connections, suitable materials, and a continuous path to adequate support below. Adjustable or improvised posts may not provide that complete system.
